  • Simpsonville Baptist Church in Simpsonville, KY is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Pastor and will receive resumes until April 15, 2024. We are a suburban community located in western Shelby County, KY just east of Louisville, KY. Simpsonville Baptist is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, Kentucky Baptist Convention, and North Central Baptist Association, and adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

    The Senior Pastor is responsible to God and the church to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach the Biblical revelation, to engage in pastoral care ministries, and to provide spiritual leadership in all areas of church life. He directly supervises all ministry personnel.

    The Senior Pastor will be a man called of God and set apart to the gospel ministry, in theological agreement with The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9) The Senior Pastor must be a man who exemplifies a godly character, is compassionate toward others, demonstrates a high level of competence, and is able to share a personal experience of salvation. He should have three to five years in a ministry leadership role, or equivalent, and a Master’s Degree of Divinity, or equivalent, preferred.

    We currently have a Sunday morning service with an average attendance of 250 people. Our resident membership is 681. We also have discipleship opportunities for children, students and adults on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Our church has a fully licensed weekday preschool program, after school program, and summer daycare program (Adventure Club) which currently serves 173 children.
