Kevin Kimes

NCBN Moderator Elect

Kevin Kimes was voted into position as our Moderator Elect when Shelby, Oldham-Trimble, and Henry County merged into the North Central Baptist Network Spring 2022. Kevin has a Bachelors degree in English Literature, a Masters in Business Administration and most recently a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated with honors. Kevin was born in Texas but moved to Kentucky with the Kellogg company in the summer of 1996 and is now proud to call Kentucky his home.  After he worked for Kellogg's, he worked as a Financial Advisor before he submitted to the Lord's call to ministry in 2009.  Since then Kevin has served as Spiritual Director for Bridge Prison Ministry, interim pastor at many Kentucky churches, and pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Shelbyville. Kevin also has the privilege of serving on the Kentucky Baptist Foundation's Board of Directors.  Kevin and his family, Jennifer (wife), Tabitha, Sabrina, Alex and Nathaniel moved to Henry County in July 2015.  Since then they have been very involved in our community coaching soccer, leading Bible studies, and making and building disciples for our Lord.  Kevin is passionate about biblical preaching and teaching for the glory of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.  He strives to do so by His power, in accordance with His will, and for the advancement of His kingdom.  

NCBN Administrative Team Leader

Rick Durham serves on the Administrative Team and has been serving as Team Lead since 2016. Rick is a member of New Life Baptist Church and has been a member since 1981. Rick invited the Lord Jesus Christ into his heart and accepted Him as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 13. Rick was blessed to have been raised in a Christian home, but also contributes coming to know the Lord from every opportunity spent with his grandmother, Billie Gordon, in her Sunday School and Vacation Bible School classes, from travels to numerous homes in the community visiting with individuals and families, sharing the Good News with all. Rick serves in a number of roles at New Life, serving as Deacon, Co-Treasurer, previously teaching an Adult Sunday School Class and having a servants heart to serve wherever needed. Rick is a Gideon with Gideons International, Shelbyville Camp. Rick also serves in the public sector as a Director for a public fleet, and assist as a Transport Logistics Chief during emergency response related matters. Rick and his wife Sheila, are blessed with 32 years of marriage, 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Rick enjoys serving the Lord, reaching out to those around him that he comes in contact with through his daily travels, sharing the Gospel and studying the Gods word with his Brothers & Sisters in Christ. Rick enjoys quality time with his wife and all of their family. 

Philip Meade

NCBN Church Health and Leadership Team Leader

Philip Meade serves as Team Leader on the Church Health and Leadership Team for our Network. Philip is in his 23rd year of pastoral ministry. Graduating from Belmont University and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philip has served in GA, TN, CO, and KY. His passions include theology, church history, playing guitar, theme parks (especially Universal Studios and Disney World), tennis, and whenever possible, sleeping. The two most significant things for Philip is that he is hidden in Christ Jesus and that he is married to Andi Meade. Together, they have three incredible children, Callie Grace, Justus, and Eli - known collectively as The Meade 5. Last but not least, Philip has a Golden Retriever named Luther and two beautiful cats, Q and Boaz. 

Chris Platt

NCBN Great Commission Team Leader

Chris Platt has served as Team Leader on the Great Commission Team under the SBA for 3 years and 1 year for our Network. Chris has been Lead Pastor at Highland Baptist Church of Shelbyville since September 2014. He is a PK who grew up in Miami, Louisville, New Jersey, and Houston. He previously served Kentucky Baptist churches in Louisville, Henderson, Somerset, and Crestwood. Chris is a graduate of Baylor University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he received his Doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary. He and his wife Phyllis have been blessed with two daughters, Alyssa and Rachel, and three grandchildren with a 4th coming April 30th! He enjoys family time, sharing the gospel, listening to Christian music, eating ice cream, attempting to play basketball/softball/golf, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, Baylor Bears, and Boston Red Sox. His life verse is Galatians 2:20. 

Susan Bryant

NCBN WMU Team Leader

Susan Bryant has served as Team Leader for the WMU Team since 2018. When Susan was just a mere 4 years old, she began attending Graefenburg Baptist Church in Shelby County, where she currently serves in her church as WMU Director, GA leader (for 40 years) and Acts 1:8 team lead. At 11 years old, she became a Christian. Susan is retired after a 30 year career in Kentucky state government. Susan has also served as Associational WMU Director and on the KY WMU Executive Board for several terms culminating with her serving as State WMU president from 2014 – 2018. She also served two terms as a trustee for the International Mission Board. Her multiple passports attest to the opportunities she has had to serve alongside our IMB missionaries in countries around the world. As well, she has served with several NAMB missionaries across the US. Susan lights up the room with her caring, loving personality, and Love and Word of Jesus everywhere she goes. She can play a mean game of UNO too!
